Well I decided to do a camera upgrade and went with the Nikon D700 and bought the same Sigma lens ( 24-70 2.8) that I used on the Pentax except in a Nikon mount. I also added the Geomet'r GPS Receiver for real-time geotagging of my photos.

Now the Pentax was a nice camera for the money but the D700 is a whole different class of camera that comes with a much higher level of initial financial investment but well worth it. More to follow...
